AUSTIN -- Victory caps off a long day for UT fans, who started cheering on their team as early as Friday night.  Fans covered the streets surrounding DKR stadium, ready to cheer on the Longhorns.

Some fans said it was like waking up on Christmas morning. Fans could be seen pitching tents and hauling barbecue pits on Friday night, trying to find the perfect spot to tailgate for Saturday's game.

"We have been waiting for so long for football to come back and it is finally here," one fan said.

On Saturday the roads near UT were buried in burnt orange. Fans said game days are a time everyone becomes family.

Because when it comes to UT, fans told KVUE there is no such thing as too much school pride.
