A botched pit stop ended with a cameraman getting hurt at the German Formula One Grand Prix on Sunday.

Driver Mark Webber was released from a routine pit stop too soon, and his rear right wheel bounded away and hit British cameraman Paul Allen, the Associated Press reports.

Allen was treated at the scene and then flown by helicopter to a hospital, where he remained conscious and under observation, according to Sky Sports.

The Red Bull racing team was fined for releasing Webber too soon.
