BEIJING (AP) — China's latest anti-graft investigation has raised questions about the fate of the former president's top aide, who was hurt by a lurid scandal two years ago over his son's death in a speeding Ferrari.

The Communist Party's anti-graft watchdog has said that a vice chairman of Shanxi province's political advisory body, Ling Zhengce, is under investigation for "serious" violations.

A commentary about the case by an official news agency on Friday hinted that Ling's brother Ling Jihua, aide to former President Hu Jintao, might also be implicated. Ling Jihua is the father of the young man in the Ferrari scandal.

But analysts say the commentary's swift deletion by government censors suggests divisions in the party's top leadership over the case.
