KINGSTON, Jamaica (AP) — Lawmakers in the Cayman Islands have voted to remove the British territory's premier in a parliamentary vote of no-confidence a week after he was arrested on suspicion of misconduct.

Governing party, opposition and independent legislators have joined in voting 11-3 in favor of the motion at an emergency session. It effectively removes McKeeva Bush from his position as the three-island territory's No. 1 politician.
