Two Metro Police officers suspended pending results of criminal investigation

Two Metro Police officers have been suspended after they reportedly beat a man at the Burnett Transit Center in Houston Thursday morning.

HOUSTON - Two Metro Police officers have been suspended after they were involved in an altercation with a man at the Burnett Transit Center. 

The incident happened around 7:30 a.m. Wednesday. The officers reportedly approached the man who was slumped over a rail platform seat at the bus station. 

"I will not tolerate inappropriate use of force by officers. Officer J. Warren is suspended pending the results of a criminal investigation and an administrative review. A second officer, D. Reynoso, who was on the scene, is also suspended pending our reviews." said Chief Vera Bumpers in a statement on Thursday.

No other information is available at this time.
