Even at 800-plus miles away, Tropical Storm Hermine is impacting the Houston-Galveston area with a north breeze, tropical air, increased seas and tides on the coast, and an increased chance for flight delays or cancelations at Bush and Hobby airports this weekend.
The storm will impact Georgia and possibly the Atlanta airport as early as noon on Friday. If it causes delays there, the domino effect could be set off, delaying flights here in Houston for hours or cancelling them all together.
Saturday, it moves through Charlotte in the morning and Washington D.C. in the evening. Then it's the New York and New Jersey area on Sunday. All major hubs with major impacts on flight times across the country.
You can keep track of your flight here or on the KHOU app.
