LEWISVILLE — Lewisville police say two pedestrians were been struck by a vehicle near the intersection of Fox Avenue and Edmonds Lane at 6:45 Monday evening.

Witnesses said the pedestrians were trying to cross Fox Avenue in an area where there was no crosswalk.

CareFlite medical helicopters took both of the injured to Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas, where they were reported in ctitical but stable condition.

Police said the driver of the vehicle stopped and was cooperating with the investigation.

No names were released.

The accident scene is about a half-mile west of Interstate 35E.
