SAN ANTONIO -- A water main break caused quite the spectacle on Tuesday afternoon near the Alamodome -- especially for anyone sweating the 100 degree heat!
What looked liked a geyser could be seen from I-37. The water was shooting at least 40 feet into the air from a water main break at the intersection of Hoefgen Avenue and Carolina Street.
San Antonio Water System workers were able to stop the gusher right around 5:07 p.m.
A spokesperson for SAWS did not immediately know what caused the break or how many customers were affected.
