SULPHUR SPRINGS, Texas - All schools in Sulphur Springs have been placed on lockdown as authorities search for two men, including a capital murder suspect, who escaped from jail at about 8 a.m. Tuesday in Hopkins County.

Brian Allen Tucker, a 45-year-old capital murder suspect, and John Marlin King, a 40-year-old evading arrest suspect, escaped from the recreation yard at the Hopkins County Jail, located at Rosemont and Fleming streets in Sulphur Springs in North Texas, according to Deputy Alvin Jordan.

The two men, who were segregated from others in the Hopkins County Jail, were able to escape through a gap between a fence and gate, the deputy said.
