SAN ANTONIO --- Alamo Heights police arrested a U.S. Navy recruiter Monday night after they say he sexually assaulted a woman inside the Navy recruiting office in the 5200 block of Broadway.

Juan Jose Pena, 28, is charged with sexual assault.  Police say the incident happened December 21.

According to the arrest warrant, the victim and her cousin came to the office to ask Pena if the victim could change her duty status from active to reserves.

According to police, Pena provided the two women with alcoholic beverages inside the office, then sexually assaulted the victim after her cousin briefly stepped out of the office.

According to the police report, the woman returned to find Pena having sex with the victim while she was throwing up inside the office.

The woman said she then left in the victim's car to get help, but crashed near Loop 410 and Broadway, where she was subsequently arrested for suspicion of DWI by San Antonio police.

According to police, Pena dropped the victim off in front of her residence, then drove away.

The victim's roommate called SAPD, who spoke to Pena over the phone after officers showed up at the victim's home.

According to the arrest warrant, Pena called another Navy recruiter who went with Pena to the recruiting office, where Pena removed bottles of alcohol, cups and the victim's underwear.

SAPD questioned Pena the next day, then turned the case over to Alamo Heights police.

No word on charges for the other recruiter.

Pena was taken into custody around 7:30 p.m. Monday.
