SAN ANTONIO -- Free coffee for the Spurs win is something we've come to expect, but a trip to the hospital for the losing fans?

Steven Cazares was coming home after watching the game Thursday night when he was forced from the road by another driver.

The victim's family says the other driver made comments about the LeBron James jersey Cazares was wearing before sending him into the retaining wall off of I-10 and the Colorado Street exit.

Cazares broke his collarbone and had his skin peeled off in several places.

His mother, Maggie Castano, said, "He told me a car pushed him off the road... that they were crossing words."

His family says hes lucky to be alive; Cazares was eventually picked up by a Good Samaritan and received medical attention.

His father, Daniel Castano, said the family is saddened that fellow Spurs fans could be so callous and leave him on the side of the road.

Some people take it to the extreme. Theres no excuse for that, no need for that. It is not a blood-sport, just a friendly rivalry, Castano said.
