THE COLONY, Texas -- The body of a woman who died in the
crash of a small plane into Lewisville Lake has been recovered.
The Colony Fire Department Capt. Kenny Adamcik (AD'-am-chek) on
Friday said crews around 8:30 p.m. Thursday located the woman's
body in the float plane.
Adamcik told The Associated Press that a man survived Thursday
afternoon's crash and was transported to a hospital. His name and
condition were not immediately available.
Adamcik confirmed to AP that the person who died was a woman,
despite earlier reports from some emergency personnel that the man
on board had been killed.
Two pontoons were all that was visible following the accident
that left the plane upside-down in the lake about 20 miles north of
Dallas.
The National Transportation Safety Board will investigate.
