SAN ANTONIO (AP) - Police say a woman walking away from an argument with a passenger after crashing into a guardrail was fatally struck by a car as she tried to cross a San Antonio highway.

The San Antonio Express-News (http://bit.ly/1lsziXN ) reports that police say the woman was on Interstate 35 early Monday morning when she hit a guardrail. Police say alcohol was suspected to be a factor in the crash.

Police say the woman started to argue with the passenger about the crash, which disabled the car. Police say the woman grabbed her purse, got out of the car and began walking across the highway.
