AUSTIN -- Police have charged two men in connection with the death of a 17-year-old in South Austin last week.

Patrick D. Molina, 18, has been charged with manslaughter and tampering with physical evidence. Kent Haley, 18, is charged with tampering with physical evidence.

Police say 17-year-old Justice Rain Presto was found dead on a South Austin street on Sunday, June 22.

Police say just before 10:30 p.m. on June 22, they found Presto lying in the street in the 4500 block of Lareina Drive just south of Highway 71 near South First Street. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives say the death is related to a call they received about shots being fired around the same time in an apartment complex in the 700 block of West William Cannon Drive.

Police did not say if Presto had gunshot wounds, but medical examiners ruled the cause of death as a homicide.

Neither of the men charged are in police custody.
