CEDAR PARK, Texas -- A hit-and-run call outside a Cedar Park Walmart turned into a bomb scare with two people being arrested.
Police were called around 7:30 p.m. Sunday to the Walmart on U.S. 183 and East Whitestone Boulevard.
According to our exclusive partners at the Austin American-Statesman, officers say there was no hit-and-run. They arrested Angelica Alarcon, 21, for filing a false report.
The Statesman reports that meanwhile, Nicholas Salinas, 31, pulled up. Police had probable cause to search his car and found parts of an explosive device.
The Austin Police Department Bomb Squad safely removed the device, but then they found another incomplete device inside the car.
Police arrested Salinas on drug charges, as well as for possessing bomb parts.
