TARRANT COUNTY — A home for $16? It was a deal that sounded too good to be true.
Turns out, it was too good to be true.
Jury selection starts Monday for David Cooper, who is accused of stealing a $400,000 Arlington residence.
Cooper moved in after filing a claim of adverse possession last year.
Prosecutors call him a thief. Tarrant County got indictments against eight people, including Cooper, for theft and burglary.
His case is the first to go to trial. Cooper faces a maximum of life in prison if convicted.
