AUSTIN, Texas – It looks like the traffic headaches are finally starting to subside in and around the In-N-Out Burger in central Austin near Airport and 46th Street.
When the California-based establishment opened its first Austin store three weeks ago, long lines wrapped around the block, creating traffic nightmares for neighbors.
“I know a lot of people were excited. It's been slammed at all times, like, lines. It's been pretty crazy,” said Aaron Matkin, an Austinite who works near the In-N-Out Burger.
Car Van Fleet, a spokesperson for In-N-Out, said the company is aware of the traffic tie-ups in Austin.
Van Fleet said it’s the newness of the facility coupled with an opening during the holidays that added to the traffic issues, and he believes things are starting to die down.
In-N-Out Burger is building a brand new store in Cedar Park.
