ARLINGTON, Texas — A white Hummer with a damged front bumper pulled up in front of an Arlington convenience store just before 9 o'clock Tuesday night. Inside were three people with gunshot wounds looking for help.
Arlington police spokeswoman Tiara Ellis Richard said it appeared that the gunfire had taken place at a hotel on Highway 360 just south of Avenue J.
"Apparently these shooting victims had actually been involved in an altercation just a way's up the service road at a motel, and drove to this location," Richard said, speaking from the convenience store at Highway 360 and Lamar Boulevard, less than 1,000 feet from the motel. "The victims actually came to this location, notified the clerk, who called 911."
Richard said two of the three men received life-threatening injuries, although she could not say how seriously they had been hurt.
A third man had a gunshot wound to his shoulder area.
The nature of the altercation remained under investgation late Tuesday. Richard could not say whether any suspects had been identified by the shooting victims.
