The Kidd Kraddick in the Morning show returned to the airwaves on San Antonio's' 96.1 FM Monday with the same name, but without it's leading man.

In a post on the station's Facebook page they announced the remaining cast of the show would be "continuing Kidd's legacy" and are ready to get back on the air.

The name of the show would remain Kidd Kraddick in the Morning.

Fans had started an online petition to keep the show on the air. More than 50,000 people signed it.

Kraddick died last weekend while at a charity golf tournament in New Orleans to raise money for his foundation, Kidd's Kids.

The medical examiner in Louisiana said Kraddick likely died from previous heart-related problems.

A private funeral service for David "Kidd" Kraddick was held Friday at The Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Arlington, Texas.

Family, co-workers and friends gathered for the ceremony, which lasted for just over an hour.

Co-hosts J-Si Chavez and Big Al Mack were among the several hundred people seen attending the service.

Plans for a public memorial service have not been announced.
