A South Texas mom helped police catch an alleged predator through Facebook.
The woman, who does not want her identity revealed in order to protect her child, said she checks her 12-year-old daughter's Facebook daily.
When searching through friend requests, she said she found one without a picture, claiming to be a 20-year-old man.
Posing as her daughter the mom began an online conversation.
The man said he wanted to get to know her and suggested that they meet in person.
"I gave him many chances to withdraw - or to let him know I was 12 and that my mom was asleep, and basically that she knew it was wrong," said the mom.
She called police then told the man she would meet with him.
The two met at a parking lot. He allegedly told her to get inside his car and that's when police arrested him.
As it turned out, he is not a 20-year-old college student, but a middle school teacher.
