NEW ORLEANS -- Search crews with Texas Equusearch are looking for a missing 2nd grade teacher in New Orleans.

Crews are combing parks and bayous looking for signs of 26-year-old Terrilynn Monette. She was last seen on March 2 when she had been out celebrating at a bar after being nominated for a "Teacher of the Year" award.

Monette told friends that she was going to take a nap in her car before driving home, but hasn’t been seen since.

Monette’s mother fears her daughter was abducted.

“I just want them to know to please bring my baby back home to me,” said Toni Enclade, Monette’s mother. “Please. It’s very hard. It’s very hard. I can't sleep at night. I can't sleep at night. I can't eat. I keep thinking about my child and where she could be.”

Monette was last seen driving at 2012 black two-door Honda Accord with Louisiana license plate WUN494. It has not been found.

Police are checking tips and reviewing surveillance tapes from local businesses in the area.
