AUSTIN -- A 19-year-old is injured after she jumped off a 40-foot cliff on Monday.

The Austin-Travis County EMS is in the process of rescuing the teenager from the Highland Lakes Marina on Wharf Cove on Lake Travis around 5:45 p.m.

The Travis County Sheriff's Office said the teenager hurt her back.

People with the 19-year-old took her by jet ski to a boat.

The boat is taking her to meet ATCEMS at the marina, but EMS advises the boat to move slowly due to the patients injures. Around 6:30 p.m. ATCEMS was able to retrieve the patient from the boat.

Her injuries are not life-threatening.

KVUE is at Wharf Cove. Check back for updates.
