CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas -- A 13-year-old south Texas boy is on life support after he was bitten by ants on a football field.
The principal at a middle school in Corpus Christi said Cameron Espinosa was in the middle of a halftime huddle Wednesday night when he started screaming.
The teen had a severe allergic reaction after being bitten on the stomach and legs by ants.
Witnesses said he lost consciousness twice before emergency crews could get to the scene.
He remains hospitalized in a pediatric intensive care unit.
