SAN ANTONIO -- Police say a 19-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly shooting his stepdad in the face while arguing in the middle of the street Wednesday evening.
San Antonio officers said they found the 43-year-old victim lying in the intersection of Piedmont and Schley when they responded to the shooting around 7:15 p.m.
Witnesses told police the victim was arguing with his stepson when the stepson pulled out a gun and fired a warning shot.
Police said the victim allegedly responded by saying, "If you're going to do it, then do it."
The stepson then shot the man in the face, killing him, police said.
The stepson, whose name was not immediately available, was arrested and will likely be charged with murder, police said.
The victim's name was also not immediately available.
Police said both men were drinking.
