SAN ANTONIO -- A man wanted in connection with a hit and run accident that killed a 9-year-old girl is expected to face a Laredo judge Monday morning before returning to San Antonio.

SAPD investigators said Isidro Espinoza-Solis hit Tatyana Babineau while she was walking to school in the 1700 block of Braesview on Wednesday and did not stop.

After a manhunt, the suspect was apprehended while attempting to cross the U.S.-Mexico border on-foot, according to investigators.

The mother of 9-year-old Tatyana  told KENS 5 she still cannot believe what happened.

"What the hell was your problem?  Really?  Was it that important that you speed to get wherever you were going?  You know, I don't know, probably say a few other choice words but I'm not going to say them on TV and I might even slap him."

On Friday, police located the Chevy Colorado truck believed to be involved in the hit-and-run death.  The pewter-colored pickup truck was tracked to the 100 block of Fay St., on the city's south side, according to SAPD.

Espinoza-Solis was placed on a no-bond immigration hold and is being held at the Webb County Jail.

A fundraiser to help the family will be held on Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Chick-Fil-A restaurant on 4715 Medical Drive.
