DALLAS — A killer is on the run after strangling a 60-year-old Sunday School teacher.
Dallas police found Roberta Moore dead in her apartment in the 9600 block of Scyene Road on Sunday morning.
Her sister, Thelma Sloan, called to wake Moore up for church; when she didn't get an answer, the family found her apartment window had been broken.
Sloan said they spent last night together and that Moore was her best friend.
"She worked in the church... Sunday School teacher... sang in the choir... she was an usher... I mean, just an all-around good lady and a great mother," Sloan said.
Moore had two children. Her sister said Moore had wanted to move out of the apartment because she concerned about her safety.
Investigators believe she was killed for her TV and cell phone.
