Judson Independent School District's Superintendent Dr. Willis Mackey named Teresa Gonzales the chief of the Judson ISD police department.
Gonzales will serve as the first female chief of JISD police and the only female in the San Antonio area.
Gonzales graduated in 1990 from Harlandale High School and has 16 years of experience. She previously had positions in the San Antonio Police Department, Alamo Community College Police Department and the Northside ISD Police Department.
She makes presentations throughout the district against bullying and teen violence.
