SAN ANTONIO -- Police are trying to figure out the identity of a motorcyclist who was killed overnight on the city's north side.
Investigators said he crashed into a car and flew more than 100 feet into the air.
They said he was driving at least 100 miles per hour and was not wearing a helmet when he lost control of his bike and crashed.
The accident happened just before midnight at Thousand Oaks and Grayson Way near Henderson Pass.
According to San Antonio police, the motorcyclist was speeding westbound on Thousand Oaks when he took a curve too fast. He lost control of his bike and swerved into oncoming traffic.
The motorcyclist crashed head-on into a small white sedan. The impact was so hard he flew 150 feet into the air through some trees. Authorities said the motorcyclist died at the scene.
The road was closed while crews cleared the area of debris.
The driver of the sedan was not injured, just shaken up. That driver will not be facing any charges.
