SAN ANTONIO -- A San Antonio woman is trying to clear herself of elderly credit-card abuse accusations.

Iesha Dawn Rodriguez, 21, was charged with two counts of credit-card abuse of the elderly Thursday.

The incident happened on Dec. 29, 2013, inside a Wal-Mart parking lot.

Investigators said Rodriguez reportedly got out of her vehicle and snatched a 72-year-old victim’s purse as the woman was getting in a car.

The elderly woman was injured during her fall to the ground, according to the San Antonio Police Department.

According to an arrest warrant, Rodriguez then used the victim’s credit cards, but was caught in a traffic stop the next day. The suspect later confessed to the crime.

In addition, police said they obtained surveillance video of Rodriguez using the stolen credit cards.
