SAN ANTONIO -- A special San Antonio boy, with a life-threatening medical condition, received the room of his dreams over the weekend.

Special Spaces San Antonio is an organization that gives local children diagnosed with grave illnesses their 'dream room.'

Young Rowan has a syndrome that doesn't allow him to process foods. He has to be intravenously fed every night.

KENS 5 caught up with Rowan and his family Saturday at the debut of his man cave to ask him what his favorite part of his new room was.

"Probably the bunk bed," Rowan said.

Before the room was revealed, 210 balloons were released. Each balloon represented a $5 dollar donation towards his room, and it just happened to be the San Antonio area code.

Just over $1,000 was raised for Rowan's room.
