AUSTIN, Texas -- An official with the Rusty Allen Airport in Lago Vista confirmed that a plane crash occurred around 12:15 p.m. Saturday.
Rusty Allen Airport Manager Horace Miller told KVUE that a woman flying her airplane lost control and crashed into several trees, 75-100 yards from the runway.
An FAA Spokesman confirms the plane was a Cessna 182 RP.
Miller believes she was attempting to land the plane when the crash occurred.
First responders removed the woman from the plane and transported her to the hospital with minimal injuries. She was the only occupant and no one on the ground was injured.
