DALLAS—Oprah Winfrey recently took her show on the road to Dallas, taping an episode at the Texas State Fair.
11 News Anchor Christine Haas made the trip up I-45 to meet with Oprah and get the first-hand scoop on what it’s really like to be the queen of talk.
On the day of the taping, hundreds of fans lined up to get a glimpse of their favorite talk-show diva.
Country singer Martina McBride entertained the crowd, along with designer Nate Berkus.
After the show was over, Oprah told 11 News that her schedule keeps her going past the point of exhaustion.
After she tapes her TV talk show, Oprah said she stays busy tending to her Sirius Radio show, business at "O" magazine and her school in West Africa.
Oprah said she thrives on having the opportunity to make a difference.
"To be able to stimulate thought in a way that gets people to feel differently and think differently about their lives, that’s very exciting to me," she said.
Oprah said she’s also excited about her new season. She said she’ll have surprises in store for her guests and viewers over the next few months.
