AUSTIN, Texas -- Central Texans will now have a new flight option to get to Las Vegas.

Nevada-based Allegiant Air announced Tuesday that it will offer a non-stop flight from Austin to Las Vegas starting Oct. 31. The company says the plan is to start with four flights a week starting at $59.99.

The discount airline does impose other fees. Booking by phone costs $14.99 per passenger. Carrying on a bag can cost as much as $75.

The Austin American-Statesman reports that the discount airline may soon add flights from Austin to Los Angeles, Phoenix and Orlando.
