FORT WORTH — Police continue to search for a suspect in a shooting that left a 56-year-old woman dead and four men injured Sunday night at the Fort Worth Stockyards.
Melanie Villarreal identified the female victim as her mother, Sylvia Salazar. According to Villarreal, Salazar attended a benefit car show before she was fatally wounded at about 9 p.m. outside the North Side Outlaws bar at 115 NW 25th Street.
"The first thing I heard was like fireworks, so I guess those were shots," said Patrick Booths, who works across the street at the Stockyards Hotel.
Three people were involved in the shooting, according to a post made Monday morning on the North Side Outlaws' Facebook page.
"My deepest and most sincere sympathy and condolences to our customers and their families for Sunday's horrific tragedy," read the post.
Salazar was transported to John Peter Smith Hospital, where she was pronounced dead. Authorities say the four men injured are expected to recover.
Police haven't released a suspect description.
