SAN ANTONIO -- Two men pretending to be police officers robbed a man at a north-side motel Monday morning, according to SAPD. Investigators say a similar robbery happened on that same side of town in recent days.

Police were called out the 3600 block of I-35N to the Best Value Inn for a robbery call. A motel tenant says he was sitting in his room when he saw flashlights shining through his window. Investigators say two men described as neatly dressed African-American males knocked on his door. He says they presented a badge claiming to be police.

However, the victim says he was struck in the face with a gun, robbed of his money, truck keys, and cell phone. The imposters drove away in a silver car with Oklahoma license plates.

Robbery detectives are looking for clues on the case and encourage calls to (210) 207-0300.
