DALLAS -- A Dallas man is facing serious charges after investigators say he pointed a laser at one of the Dallas Police Department's air one helicopters.
It happened around 4:30 a.m. Monday near Hillburn Drive and Lake June. Police were searching for burglary suspects in a wooded area.
Officers called in a DPD helicopter for help.
While the chopper was searching, they say a man pointed a laser at the helicopter from his backyard. Police say the man could face feliony charges.
Last week, a Detroit-area man was sentenced to a year in prison for aiming a laser at a helicopter.
