GEORGETOWN, Texas -- A 28 year-old man drowned Sunday evening at Cedar Breaks Park on Lake Georgetown.

Police say the man was swimming with friends when he went missing near the edge of the lake. Friends called 911 around 7:30 p.m., then dove into the lake repeatedly looking for him. When they found him, he had been under water for about 10 minutes.

He was later pronounced dead at Seton Medical Center Williamson.

Officials have not yet released the man's name.
