AUSTIN, Texas – A T-shirt celebrating the hire of new Texas Longhorns coach Charlie Strong is lighting up social media.

Longhorn fans are being accused of racism over the shirt which has an image of Strong on the front and the text “Black is the new Brown.”

Strong is an African American and “Brown” is a reference to Mack Brown, who recently stepped down as head coach.

So far, the school has not commented on the shirt, and the online listing on the website Etsy.com offering the shirt has been taken down.
