GALVESTON, Texas -- A judge already indicted on eight felony and misdemeanor charges has been indicted again on a new charge, an official with the state attorney general's office said today.
Judge Christopher Dupuy, who recently was suspended from office, was elected to Galveston County Court at Law No. 3 in a 2010 Republican landslide. But his term has been laden controversy and accusations, some of which led to criminal charges.
Sheriff Henry Trochesset arrested Dupuy on May 21 on charges brought by the state attorney general's office, which included obstruction or retaliation, abuse of official capacity and official oppression.
