On Sunday morning, deputies responded to a dispute between a property owner and a tenant.

When deputies were invited inside the home on Harmon Hills, they say a snarling, aggressive pit bull dog immediately charged them.

The deputies say they ran out the front door but the dog chased them and tried to bite. First they tried kicking it, then one of the deputies fired at the dog, killing it.

No one else was hurt.
