Fort Worth student found dead in Colorado

The body of 20-year-old Dammion Heard of Fort Worth was found eight miles east of Gunnison, Colorado. He had been reported missing on March 29, 2014.

GUNNISON, Colorado — Gunnison police found the body of a missing Western State Colorado University student on Wednesday.

Dammion Heard, 20, of Fort Worth, was last seen near the Western State Colorado University campus on March 29.

He was found eight miles east of Gunnison on Bureau of Land Management land.

His black 2004 Saturn Vue with Texas license plates was found nearby.

An investigation into his death is ongoing. No suspects are being pursued at this time.

Heard won state with Keller's Fossil Ridge High wrestling team, and was currently on the Western State wrestling squad.
