ARLINGTON, Texas — During his first appearance at Rangers Ballpark since joining the Los Angeles Angels, Josh Hamilton's family was being shielded from Texas fans.

Hamilton said he was booed and taunted when he took the field in the first game of a three-game series on Friday afternoon, and those taunts carried over to his family traveling with him.

His wife felt that she needed security, so she watched the final game of the series on Sunday night from a suite.
