SAN ANTONIO -- There's another accolade for San Antonio this summer as Forbes magazine names the Alamo City the hottest city in the southwest.

A study conducted among people between the ages of 18 and 34 found that San Antonio ranked first as best place to live for millennials.

In the study, Forbes names the southwest as the newest center of influence in the United States and San Antonio topped the list of cities in the southwest as the place to be, according to millenials.

Forbes says the city ranked high because it hit the trifecta: good economy, good employment and a low cost of living.

San Antonio received high praise in the survey for being a safe place to raise a family and for providing new job opportunities.

Rounding out the top 5 were San Diego, LA, Phoenix and Austin. Houston and Dallas/Ft. Worth were also in the top 10.
