SAN ANTONIO -- Police say three men and woman voluntarily gave themselves up following hours of negotiating with law enforcement outside a northwest-side home.

Another man was arrested earlier, bringing the total number of suspect to five.

Several homes were evacuated surrounding the home in the 7500 block of Barryhill Street -- near Bandera Road and Timberhill Drive.

Using a bullhorn, San Antonio police said they were able to get the four suspects to walk out of the home and surrender around 9:30 a.m.

Authorities had blocked off several of the surrounding streets while a police helicopter circled above the residence. An armored vehicle and SWAT were also called in.

The suspects originally fled from a home invasion about four or five blocks south in the 7300 block of Clear Water Street around 5:30 a.m.

Police said the suspects stormed in the front door and demanded cash, drugs and jewelry. They left with electronics, however, and were later spotted unloading the stolen items at the Barryhill Street home.

An officer at the scene told KENS 5's Jenny Suniga nobody was injured in the Clear Water home invasion.

He also said there was an "exchange" with one of the suspects, although he did not provide any details.
