Dallas Everest climber talks avalanche tragedy

An avalanche on the tallest mountain in the world killed 12 people Thursday in the deadliest disaster ever on Mt. Everest. The victims were all experienced Sherpas, guides who escort climbers up the slopes.

There's heartbreak among those who've conquered Everest. The guides who lost their lives have helped thousands achieve a life-long dream.

News 8's Teresa Woodard spoke to Robbie Vaughn, a Dallas man who climbed the mountain, for his thoughts on the tragedy.
