HOUSTON—The Texas Department of Public Safety is hoping the public can help them track down dangerous fugitive sex offenders, and they’ve instituted a new program to get the criminals off the streets.

The Texas 10 Most Wanted Sex Offenders program identifies violent sex offenders who have either violated parole or failed to comply with sex-offender registration. All of the offenders are fugitives and are considered to be a threat to Texas communities. Currently, two of the 10 most-wanted offenders were last seen in the Houston area.

The DPS said some of the sex offenders’ victims were children.

A Crime Stoppers reward of $1,000 is available for tips leading to the arrest of a most-wanted sex offender.

"Sex offenders who hide are at risk to strike again," said DPS Director Steven McCraw.  "This program will enlist the public’s help in locating these high-risk offenders."

As of Wednesday, July 7, the Texas 10 Most Wanted Sex Offenders were:

Troy James Allison; wanted for aggravated rape; last known area - Lufkin

David Ross Baxley; wanted for DWI, failure to register, failure to appear; last known area - Rowlett

Robert A. Davis, III; wanted for indecency with a child; last known area - Dallas

Antonio Garcia; wanted for failure to comply with sex-offender registration requirements; last known area - Houston

Michael Edward Glover; wanted for aggravated rape; last known area - Amarillo
