AUSTIN -- A statue being created for fallen Navy SEAL Chris Kyle came through Austin on its way to North Texas.
On Thursday the statue, created by a Florida artist, was honored in a Native American ceremony at Texas State Cemetery in Austin, where Kyle is buried.
The statue is now on its way to Arlington with a police and Patriot Guard escorted procession. There the model will be viewed by Kyle's family, then bronzed and put on display.
Kyle was killed by a former Marine at a North Texas shooting range last month.
