SAN MARCOS, Texas -- A bomb threat forced some Texas State University students out of their dorm rooms early Tuesday, campus police said.

College Inn Hall on Comanche Street was evacuated and closed for more than four hours starting shortly before 2 a.m.

Student Celeste Gaddy told KHOU 11 News that residents were moved to a nearby rec center while a bomb squad was called in.

Campus police let the students return to their dorms after 6 a.m., but nearby roads remained closed. Further details about the threat itself were not immediately available.

According to the school's website, College Inn Hall is located on the west end of campus. The nine-story dorm houses 230 students.
