SAN ANTONIO -- During the dog days of summer, extreme heat can be deadly for animals. Now is the time to make sure your pet has extra care during these hot summer months.
Check on your outside animals in the morning and night to make sure they have sufficient water and shade.
It’s best to keep your pet in a cool spot indoors when it’s hot out. If your animal is outside, make sure to keep your pet in a shady area with fresh water in a spill-proof container.

Remember, when it’s too hot for you, it’s also too hot for your furry friends!
