D/FW AIRPORT - Terminal A at D/FW International Airport was shut down Wednesday evening after a bomb threat was called on a flight departing from Austin that arrived at D/FW just before 7 p.m.

The threat was cleared around 9:30 p.m. after a sweep of the plane and luggage.

American Airlines flight 1072 taxied into Terminal A, Gate 19, and passengers deplaned safely.

After the threat, police cleared the areas around Gates A19 and A20, and the A21 security checkpoint. Everything has been reopened.

All other airline operations are continuing as normal.

Bomb threats were called in to Austin-Bergstrom International Airport earlier Wednesday afternoon, but the all clear was given at that location.
